On Thursday, authorities arrested Mingo County Circuit Judge Michael Thornsbury for a number of charges, including jury tampering and trying to frame his mistress’s husband.
Before the day was through State Supreme Court members voted to suspend Thornsbury without pay.
County Commissioner David Baisden also was arrested for attempted extortion. I spoke with Mingo County Sheriff Rosie Crum about the charges. She called Baisden a friend and stressed he’s still innocent until proven otherwise.
