The National Governors Association will host its 2015 Summer meeting in White Sulphur Springs, according to a noontime press release Tuesday.
The four day meeting, set to begin July 23, 2015, will mark the third time the association has held its summer meeting in the Mountain state. West Virginia also hosted the meeting in 1922 and 1950.
“I’m thrilled to have the opportunity to showcase Wild, Wonderful West Virginia to my colleagues from across the country,” said Gov. Earl Ray Tomblin said in an NGA press release. “White Sulphur Springs is one of West Virginia’s small town gems, and I’m confident this will be a productive and memorable experience for everyone involved.”
The association’s nine-governor executive committee selected West Virginia for its “excellent accommodations and venue options,” according to the press release.
