More new entrants in this week’s batch. Please welcome the National Football Post, plus Jason Kirk of SB Nation and late of the hilarious and genius YouTube show “Shutdown Fullback,” which has not posted a new video in 10 months … which makes me want to cry.

Schlabach, the NFP and Athlon have joined the Liberty Bowl brigade this week, while Sporting News has bumped up the Herd to Hawaii. But they don’t have ECU, rather than Marshall in the Liberty Bowl. They have Tulane winning the conference in its final season there and heading to Memphis. USA Today still wants Watterson sandwiches for everyone in a trip to St. Pete.
Jason Kirk’s prediction, frankly, might be the worst bowl scenario Marshall could face — a rematch with a regular-season opponent on Christmas Eve in a city that is among the most cost-prohibitive to get to. Is there anything to like about that?
(And because I’m a nice guy, I’ll price out some flights for you, leaving Dec. 22 and coming back Dec. 26. Charleston to Honolulu — $1,322 at the cheapest; Pittsburgh to Honolulu — $1,300 at the cheapest; Huntington to Honolulu — $1,338 at the cheapest; Columbus to Honolulu — $1,256 at the cheapest. And that’s for one plane ticket. No hotel. No meals. Just one guy flying to Hawaii.)
