“Tales to Tails: Read to the Dogs” is open to students in kindergarten through sixth grade at several branches of the Kanawha County Public Library.
Therapy dogs are used to help hesitant readers feel more relaxed about reading out loud.
The program will be offered at the main library in Charleston 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. this Saturday, Oct. 20 and Nov. 17. Additional branches include Dunbar 3 to 4:30 p.m. Oct. 9, Cross Lanes 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Oct. 16, Elk Valley 2 to 4 p.m. Nov. 6 and Sissonville 6 to 7:30 p.m. Nov. 13.
