Seeing Mike on this made me believe that football season is coming …
ooh, we we Casazzie!
Nice stache my man. Nice stache.
And NOW I’m finally excited for football season. Kinda crazy you got Tony Stark to fill in for you, Mike. Think we could get #casazzastache to trend?
Is Casazza A.J. Daulerio’s long lost twin?
Good move ditching the tie. Made you look like you were filing the vlog from Initech.
Mike said what we are all thinking. Lot more questions than answers about this team.
I don’t know why but I always really enjoy these (even if Mike did kinda false start in this one).
I always knew that Mike can see us when he does these vids.
This is really bizarre, but I swear I watched it from my phone last night and it was a 13:20 clip, meaning I cut out that first 20 seconds and the first take. Looked at it this morning and saw the blooper reel made it. YouTube is weird, but thanks for the head up.
I have zero idea why this is happening. Never happened before. But for some reason the edited and unedited versions interchangeably appear. I’ve seen a 13:20 clip on my phone and on my computer, but I’m seeing the 13:40 clip on the blog now. I’m trying to fix it, but, like I said, it’s never happened previously.
I’ve been having a lot of problems with YouTube at work lately. Lots of videos are going dark and disappearing after a few days.
He’s going to lose his nickname: Mike “One Take” Casazza.
And the weirdest fix. Too ridiculous to explain, but let’s just say the way I did it is not the way it’s supposed to work.
Does it count as a real stache if there are glimmers of a goatee present on the facial area as well?
Maybe I’m a pessimist… and I’m confident I don’t know the kids or situation as well as you do….
But, I thought it was a bigger possibility that either Buie or Garrison transferred at the end of the fall when/if either of them find themselves fourth on the depth chart. For instance, assuming Garrison isn’t playing any spot duty in the slot – How much PT and carries is there to go around if you’re behind Sims, Smith, and Buie? Next year you could potentially swap Shell for Sims and you’re in the same situation. If Alford makes it and Marcellus and Gibson live up to hype, there’s not a ton of slot duty there either.
Mike: Just be glad that what was edited out was a false start rather than… well anything else.
guess it depends on their attachment to the U and the coaching staff – not saying these guys aren’t competitive but the decision is between playing and practicing with a group of guys and coaches you like to be with while getting an education -or-getting to start on most likely a lesser level with new teammates and coaches. a sober/mature look might say hanging around, playing special teams and enjoying college and major college football would make more sense – the team might take you someplace special. Garrison is a classy kid. the program is lucky to have him. I guess it depends on what fuels him/them and where they could possibly land These gys live in the penthouse compared to Div 1AA and II schools.
Mike – that long awkward un-moving pause was the best – thought my internet had hung up.
smeer – I agree completely with your take. It just depends on what they’re looking for in football and college life. I don’t think there’s a “wrong” decision either way for either of these kids, just thinking it’d be hard to go from freshman or soph starter to fourth string and a transfer to me seemed very possible.
I think they’ve both been great kids and contributors, and for both of them effort or attitude has never come into question, so I’m sure they’d be a special teams or locker room asset even if they’re only getting a few carries a game.
Do you guys think that Garrison and Buie are going into camp thinking they have no chance to start?
no – that wasn’t what I was thinking – they are obviously going to compete, but Sims is a pretty sure lock with his versatility and national ranking. That means who is #2?
i mentioned way back that DH might throw a lot more diamond into things to give his backs some playing time.
reading garrison interviews – the kid is not afraid of competition – one of the reasons I like him
i wonder what kind of weight he and Buie have put on because that seems the limiting factor in them getting on the field
my response was to the question raised of if one or both find themselves on the pine, would they transfer.
No, I don’t think that – that’s why I said “end of fall” for their potential transfers (versus just transferring now). I just think from watching film Sims looks a lot better, and Smith at least has potential to beat either one out.
As mentioned, above by smeer – it seems it’s all about that #2 slot. If Dremius solidifies himself there by end of fall (not likely to be solidified, but certainly possible), then that makes it a tough call for Buie/Garrison.
